U14's Futsal Regional Championships

On Tuesday 8 April the U14 boys Futsal team competed in the Regional Championships at Niagara Park Stadium. The boys started off with a convincing win over Lisarow 2, St Philips, Steiner and finally a close game that ended in a draw against Berkeley Vale.

There were two pools of teams in the U14’s and we won the semifinals against Wadalba who were placed second in the other pool. In the finals, we came up against Lisarow 1 and we scored in the first 5 minutes and were peppering their goals with shots. Against the run of play Lisarow got an equaliser in the last 3 minutes. With one minute to go they scored another goal and ultimately we went down 2-1.

Our boys showed lots of skill, determination and sportsmanship in every game. They now progress to the State Championships which will be held on Tuesday 24 June at Niagara Park Stadium.
