Administration

In addition to teachers, there are many other non teaching roles available for people interested in working in schools. These roles are very important in combining with the work of the teachers to ensure all students are provided with the greatest possible opportunity to reach their full potential.

The roles are involved in various aspects of the running of the school. The School Administrative Officer (SAO) may be the first person to greet you when you arrive at school. At Henry Kendall High School we take pride in presentation and excellent customer service in the front office. School Administration Officers also work in our Science Faculty, Library, Copy Room and Hospitality/Food Technology kitchens. All these roles are vital in supporting the teaching staff, students and executive of Henry Kendall High School.

The school is also staffed by a School Administration Manager (SAM) who is part of the administration and support team. The School Administration Manager assists the principal in planning and maintaining school routines and is responsible for the efficient management of the school financial and administration functions.

The General Assistant's role is to maintain school playing fields, gardens and lawns and, receipting and distributing stores. General Assistants maintain equipment, undertake minor maintenance of buildings, plant and equipment.

Henry Kendall High School has a shared agriculture farm located on Racecourse Road. The role of the Farm Assistant is to prepare and maintain the agricultural area, machinery operation, care of livestock, maintenance of machinery, tools and equipment and general farm maintenance.
