Modern History is a unique chance to understand the cultural, social and political mistakes and successes of the past. In Year 11 we study the American Civil War, The Boer War and establishment of Apartheid in South Africa and the 1916 Easter Rebellion in Ireland.
In Year 12 we investigate the Western and Eastern fronts of WW1 and for some lucky students they have the opportunity to travel to Belgium and France and stand upon these sacred sites. We then venture back to America learn about the Mafia and prohibition. All of these experiences help students to have a more knowledgeable understanding of the world we live in today.
