Dear parents and carers,
The updated Departmental COVID Guidelines have specific requirements for students who display flu like symptoms;
'If a student has been absent due to flu-like illness or develops flu-like symptoms while at school, they are not to return to school until they have a negative COVID-19 test and are symptom-free.
The negative COVID-19 test result must be sighted and received by the school for both students and staff members before their return to school.'
If this applies to your child in the coming weeks, please ensure that they bring their test result with them to school on their return, or that you send us a copy of the result via email. Students will not be able to re-enter learning activities until the test result is received by the office.
Students who have been absent with flu like symptoms and who do not provide the test result will be sent home.
Thank you for your assistance and understanding as this statewide requirement is put in place.
