Mikhail Volkov in Year 11 has painted this amazing oil painting on canvas board. Mikhail's usual medium of choice is watercolour, although he has produced this beautiful work after he participated in an oil painting workshop with Mr Andrew Backhouse and Ms Dawn Keft.

This land we meet on today holds the stories and memories of all Aboriginal people. The land we are upon is Millennia old. Below us and above us the earth and the sky has always taken care of us. I pay my respects to the elders past and present and acknowledge how much they have cared for this nation since the beginning of time.
