Year 12 Graduation

On Thursday 19 September we will celebrate the Year 12 Graduation. The most important event on our school calendar recognises that our Year 12 students have reached a milestone in their lives where they will no longer be required to go to different classes, follow a timetable or listen to instructions from classroom teachers. They have arrived at at crossroad from which they can take the path well travelled or the one less travelled. Each of them will make their own choices from here on in and each will be responsible for where they end up. Some of our Year 12 students may choose to further their education bey going to university or TAFE while others may choose to further their years of schooling and enter the world of work. Whichever pathway they choose, I hope that our Year 12 students always ensure that they embrace and action the values and ethics taught at our school. I would encourage our graduating Year 12 students to continue to participate in areas in which they believe, as it is their sheer determination, commitment and participation over the past 6 years which has led each of them to the success of graduating from Henry Kendall High School.

The Class of 2013 is characterised by compassion, humility, friendship, passion and respect, both for themselves and for each other. They are a group of people who can, should and will be successful in whatever field they choose to enter. They are a group of people who have expressed great understanding and tolerance of people from all walks of life, and a group of people who have shown dedication and commitment to the high pressure and difficult task of the Higher School Certificate. There is certainly no shortage of high quality, responsible and respectful citizens being produced by the Henry Kendall High School community. On behalf of the school community at Henry Kendall High School, I wish each and every Year 12 student the very best of luck in the HSC and the happiness of a productive life.

Mr Andrew Backhouse, Principal.
