Aboriginal Numberacy Day

The University of Newcastle and the Wollotuka Institute, in partnership with the Newcastle Knights, McDonald Jones Stadium and Hunter and Central Coast Aboriginal Education and Consultative Groups, will host the 2025 Aboriginal Numeracy Gala Day. The event is for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in the Hunter and Central Coast regions held at McDonald Jones Stadium.

This land we meet on today holds the stories and memories of all Aboriginal people. The land we are upon is Millennia old. Below us and above us the earth and the sky has always taken care of us. I pay my respects to the elders past and present and acknowledge how much they have cared for this nation since the beginning of time.
