Information for Parents and Carers
Wednesday 11 March to Monday 16 March
- All students in Years 7 and 9 in Australia do NAPLAN tests in March each year.
- NAPLAN checks students’ skills in reading, writing and maths.
- The test questions are presented in Standard Australian English dialect.
- Students read some of the questions and listen to others with headphones.
- The tests will get easier or harder, depending on how students are going in the test.
Please contact the school for further information on the testing process, exemptions and the withdrawl of students from the tests. Our NAPLAN Coordinator will be able to assist you with all your enquiries.

The Year 7 cohort, as well as selected Year 10 peer support students, will attend The Great Aussie Bush Camp at Kincumber.

2026 Swimming Carnival
Our swimming carnival is an extremely popular school event that encourages student participation which promotes physical fitness, fosters school spirit and friendly competition.

Henry Kendall High school recognise our country's cultural diversity and promote inclusiveness, respect, and a sense of belonging.
Relay for Life
In 2025 students and teachers walked and ran for 24 hours at the Relay For Life. As a school we raised over $16,000 for the cancer council.

A day dedicated to raising awareness, strengthening connections, and encouraging open conversations about mental health and wellbeing.
VISTAS
An evening held yearly to celebrate our HSC Students' major works.
Swimming Carnival
Every year, students from Henry Kendall High School come to the Gosford Olympic Pool wearing their house colours. They show a lot of school spirit and energy, which creates a fun and exciting environment.
Athletic Carnival
The students' sportsmanship, encouragement, and camaraderie at the Athletics Carnival not only highlight their positive character but also reflect very well on Henry Kendall High School's values and community spirit.
