Danielle Guyot completed Year 12 in 2017 and recently applied for an Arts Grant following her success with the Arts Express 2018 Awards. The application was to the Bouddi Foundation for the Arts as part of their 2018 program.
Danielle was successful in winning both the John Charrington Prize and the Peter Godwin Encouragement Award. She was one of only 3 to have won these 2 awards this year. Danielle still can't believe it at the moment and she will soon have to start planning her trips to New Zealand and Japan to try and discover where this is going to take her.
Last weekend, Arts Express 2018 opened at the Cowra Regional Arts Gallery and Danielle's art was placed on display. Most unexpectedly, the event culminated with Danielle receiving the Wilkins Prize and the NSW government offered to purchase her art for a permanent collection and display at various NSW Government offices.
