Applied Learning - Class Plays

This term in Applied Learning, Year 7 students are focusing on inclusive and respectful teamwork. To practise these skills, classes will each perform a class play.
We warmly invite family members to join us at the open-air theatre to enjoy their child’s performance.
Please sign in at the front office when you arrive and you will be escorted to the theatre.
Nex Gen Exibition

Where: Gosford Regional Library
Year 12 Visual Arts students will visit the Next Gen Art Exhibition at the Regional Gosford Library to view outstanding artworks from the 2025 HSC practical examination.
This will certainly inspire and provide valuable insights into the creative approaches used by top students.

ARTEXPRESS

Where: Art Gallery of NSW
ARTEXPRESS is an annual exhibition featuring a selection of outstanding student artworks developed for the NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) Visual Arts examination during 2025. During the visit students will attend a session where they will hear student artists speak about their bodies of work and how they have sustained engagement and strong connection between their conceptual and material practice.
Mock Trial ~ Round 1
Date: Wednesday 25 March 2026
Time: 8.10am ~ 2.00pm
Where: Central Coast Grammar School
Part of the Year 11 Legal Studies syllabus requires students to learn about civil court procedure. This trial is a civil case and the students will be representing the defendant.

Central Coast Future Pathways Expo

Where: The Entertainment Grounds Gosford
Cost: $7.70
Careers Expos assist students in their transition from school to work, with knowledge and understanding of the types of employment and study options in a range of industries and institutions. Attendance enables direct links to organisation staff for personalised conversations, advice and a broad range of take-home published resources.
Students from Year 10 will attend the careers expo held at The Entertainment Grounds in Gosford during Period 1 & 2.

Students from Year 11 and 12 are invited to attend the Central Coast Future Pathways Expo held at The Entertainment Grounds in Gosford.
This is not a mandatory excursion so please check if your student would like to attend. Students depart from school at 1.40pm at the start of break two and are dismissed from the venue at 3.00pm.
TAFE NSW ~ REIP Taster Day

The Regional Industry Education Partnerships (REIP) is offering trade exploration days in the area of automotive, electrotechnology and plumbing. Students have completed an expression of interest and have been offered a place. Specific course details have been provided to student.
Medieval Fair
Date: Friday 27 March 2026
Time: 9.10am ~ 11.10am
Where: Library Quad
Year 8 students will host a Medieval Fair, showing guests what life was like in the Medieval Era. Students will create interactive and entertaining activities.
Family members are encouraged to come along and see all the interesting ideas Year 8 has come up with.
A QR code sign in will be at the top of the school for family members to sign in upon entry.

The Year 7 cohort, as well as selected Year 10 peer support students, will attend The Great Aussie Bush Camp at Kincumber.

ANZAC Day Service

SRC members will be representing Henry Kendall High School at the 2026 Gosford Anzac Day Service.
Geography Fieldwork
Date: Friday 1 May 2026
Time: 9.10am ~ 3.10pm
Where: Wamberal / Terrigal Beach
Cost: $10.00
Year 10 will be attending a mandatory Geography Fieldwork excursion at Wamberal/Terrigal beaches. The activities from the day will contribute to their upcoming assessment task on Change and Management in Coastal Environments. Students will build their geographical skills by engaging in a series of practical tasks across two sites, firstly at Wamberal Beach, before walking to the headland at Terrigal Skillion.

Our swimming carnival is an extremely popular school event that encourages student participation which promotes physical fitness, fosters school spirit and friendly competition.

Henry Kendall High school recognise our country's cultural diversity and promote inclusiveness, respect, and a sense of belonging.
Relay for Life
In 2025 students and teachers walked and ran for 24 hours at the Relay For Life. As a school we raised over $16,000 for the cancer council.

A day dedicated to raising awareness, strengthening connections, and encouraging open conversations about mental health and wellbeing.
VISTAS
An evening held yearly to celebrate our HSC Students' major works.
Swimming Carnival
Every year, students from Henry Kendall High School come to the Gosford Olympic Pool wearing their house colours. They show a lot of school spirit and energy, which creates a fun and exciting environment.
Athletic Carnival
The students' sportsmanship, encouragement, and camaraderie at the Athletics Carnival not only highlight their positive character but also reflect very well on Henry Kendall High School's values and community spirit.
